One day I was at home and decided to watch Pulp Fiction. After the movie I decided to look at the special features and came across some deleted scenes and there was this one deleted scene where Mia (Uma Thurman) was asking Vincent Vega (John Travolta) some questions. A sort of personality test. After watching the scene and listening to the questions, I thought that it would be interesting to hear how people I know would answer these particular questions.
Do I really know my friends, could I predict what their answers would be. Some, maybe; others, I don't know. But I bet it would sure be fun to find out.
After thinking about it for a bit I realized that this is sort of like those spam emails that everyone gets sent asking a bunch of questions and then asking you to send it back and forward to 10 million people (I never do them). The difference here is that, first; I didn't send this to you. You are here at my blog reading it. Second, I'm only asking those of you that are my friends and those that would like to be my friend to answer the questions and send them to me. (Either using Zaadz email or if you would like others to see, just add a comment.)
Below I have even answered the question myself, so that you may put together your own ideas about me. One day I would like to, maybe, add to the questions but for now I'll just use Mia's.
Anyways, here are the questions. (and some dialogue from the scene.)
(Mia)
"Smile your on Mia's camera"
"Do you ever see Barbara Walters interview movie stars?"
"Well, Pretend I'm Barbara Walters and I'm gonna ask you a bunch of questions. Like, the world, yourself, whatever I find interesting."
-What's your name?
"[So] the theory is that when it comes to important subjects, there's only two ways a person can answer. Which way they choose, tells you who that person is."
"For instance, there's only two kinds of people in the world. Beatles people and Elvis people. Now Beatles people can like Elvis and Elvis people can like Beatles, but nobody likes them both equally. Somewhere you have to make a choice. And that choice tells you who you are."
-So...Elvis or Beatles?
-Brady Bunch or the Partridge Family?
-On Rich Man Poor Man, who did you like more? Peter Strauss or Nick Nolte?
-What's your favorite way to say thanks in a foreign language?
-In conversation, do you listen or wait to talk?
-If you were Archie, who would you fuck first? Betty or Veronica?
Now here are my answers to the questions.
-I've been know by lots of names but they all revolve around Joe.
-I'm definitely an Elvis person. Thangk you...thangk you verwy much!
-I never saw Rich Man Poor Man but I dig Nick Nolte in other stuff so I'm gonna go with him.
-Grassy Ass! ;)
-Not to copy Vincent Vega but, I do have to admit I wait to talk but I try hard to listen.
-Hmmmmm...ok, it's Betty and not cause she's the blonde but because I think Veronica is stuck on herself.
